'Wrens behind the lens' is my photographic memory of life as a Photographer in the Women's Royal Naval Service (WRNS).
A pictorial history of Wren Photographers from their humble beginnings as Darkroom Assistants, to finally attaining full parity with their male counterparts in the Royal Navy's Photographic Branch.
52 pages, A4 and soft backed, packed with 100 photographs of Wren photographers at work and play from 1969-1995, the book aims to raise funds for the WRNS Benevolent Trust, an organisation dedicated to helping ex Wrens in need.
2017 sees the Centenary of the WRNS and this publication is endorsed by the WRNS100 project team.
